Times Union Center To Get A Bit Of A ‘Face Lift’ By Fall 2017

Some things are going to change at the Times Union Center over the next couple of years.

Don't worry it's nothing to drastic and all for the better. The Time Union Center just got plans approved by the county legislator to do a bit of upgrading tit's front and rear over the next couple of years. CBS 6 Albany says that the upgrades will

feature a new enclosed atrium, bright digital displays and new interior space in the rear

Fear not tax payers, funding for the new upgrades will not be coming out of your pocket. Instead it will be funded through arena profits and hotel occupancy taxes. Construction is could begin as early as August (pending final approval) and should be complete by late fall 2017. Hopefully the rear addition will be done by the end of next spring with the front be finished later in the fall of 2017.
