Thruway Exit 23 Closed After Second Pedestrian Hit in One Week
Well this makes two pedestrians hit on the Thruway in the last week. Crazy!
Earlier in the week, David Miller of Rome was hit and killed by a trucker near Thruway Exit 24 at around 10 p.m. shutting down the southbound side for hours. The trucker in that case told troopers Miller was just standing in the middle of the highway when he was hit.
Unfortunately, another person has been hit.
Right around Thruway Exit 23, at 2 a.m. Friday morning, a person was hit closing down highway until roughly 10 a.m. Friday morning. The unidentified victim was rushed to Albany Medical Center. Troopers have yet to release any information as the investigation continues.
