This Has to Be the Least Punk Thing Ever!

Apparently some sort of holding company has gotten ahold of the CBGB trademarks and is in the process of opening a CBGB "Lounge And Bar" or LAB for short IN THE NEWARK AIRPORT?!?!?! What is happening here? I'm so confused...

This has the weirdest timing ever considering I just watched the CBGB flick on the Netflix over the weekend (it served its purpose but it was hard watching half the cast of Harry Potter as punks).

The CBGB LAB will be serving "'American fare in a fun environment recalling the legendary music venue." according to Grub Street. You know, where they'll serve Prime Rib, Wedge Salads, and Pimento Cheese at exuberant prices.

A far cry from Hilly's Chili, there's something on the menu called "Harold's World Famous Chili", who is Harold? Does his recipe change nightly and contain those extra special ingredients like ashes and "bodily fluids" while Burt supervises? I don’t think so.

I for one, will NOT be frequenting this establishment unless, they begin serving $3 Bloody's that are essentially Vodka with a dash of Tabasco while Iggy Pop gyrates on top of me. I'm out. NOPE. Not Happening.
