Some people really have an addictive personality.  Adam Osmond, the man featured in the story below, is no exception.

After studying for a business degree, Osmond opened up two convenience stores in Connecticut.  However, his addiction soon began controlling his life, as he started purchasing THOUSANDS of dollars in lottery tickets from his store on a weekly basis.  In total, Osmond spent over A MILLION DOLLARS on tickets, many of which were never even scratched off!

Now technically, Osmond didn't spend his own money.  He was just printing tickets from his store's machine and not paying the bill.  But he was eventually convicted and ordered to pay back all of the money.  A few years later, though, that conviction was deemed illegal and the decision was reversed.
