The Stomping Land is shaping up to be quite the excellent third-person survival game set in the Mesozoic Era.

Now that the Kickstarter campaign for The Stomping Land was a success, its development team of the same name has announced some of the details of this Turok-like survival game. Even better, its creators provided a trailer of its early access footage. Confirmed dinosaurs appearing at launch include the Styracosaurus, Carnotaurus, Stygimoloch, Gallimimus, Helicoprion Puertasaurus and Ankylosaurus. Servers will be hosted by the players, similar to Team Fortress 2 and Minecraft.

The Stomping Land provides multiplayer gameplay revolving that involves living in a savage land filled with dinosaurs. Your main priority is the need to hunt smaller dinosaurs and eat their meat. Unfortunately, larger dinosaurs are on the hunt for the same game and also have you on the menu. You must salvage resources, make tools and become an even better hunter than these massive creatures as you compete against rival humans. You'll get to make traps, fight other tribesmen and eventually be able to take on the larger dinosaurs as you become an apex predator with whomever you team up with in this DayZ-esque game of survival.

The Stomping Land will be available to the public on May 30 on PC for $24.99 while Kickstarter supporters get early access starting on May 23. Just remember what we learned from the 'Jurassic Park' series -- stay out of the long grass.
