The Royal Wedding Obsession – Finally Over?

I have no idea why, but everyone seems to be obsessed with the spectacle that is the Royal Wedding that is going on this morning.

I know that a lot of you are probably jealous that I am up early enough to see the Royal Wedding, too bad I'm not really paying attention to it.  Besides keeping up with Producer Joe's antics over in London, I really have no interest in this.  Good for them though.  They seem really happy, but can we all stop this crazy obsession?

I don't think that our founding fathers would appreciate us Americans paying so much attention to a wedding for a country who use to make us pay taxes on tea.  George Washington is ready to rise from the grave right now, pop in his wooden teeth and march straight across the ocean again to kick some red coat ass.  Did we suffer through bitter cold at Valley Forge, fight through Lexington and Concord to sit here and pay attention to not just one but two Royal Weddings in the last 40 years?  I mean people are buying commemorative plates, t-shirts, you name it they have it and people want it.  I guess it's kind of a big deal, but really not that big.

The one thing that I did catch notice of during all of this coverage was that fact the Kate Middleton is pretty hot.  Flipping past the news today you can't help but see the wedding footage and she did look stunning.  With that being said, can all of this be over now?  Or are we going to be seeing wall to wall news footage of their honeymoon too?  Maybe get a check in to see how everything is going in a year? All ridiculous, but you knwo it's going to happen.

Royal Wedding highlight of the day, when Producer Joe turned to a guy standing in front of Buckingham Palace and asked what all the fuss was about.  Classic Joe.

In closing I hope that Prince William and Kate have a long happy life together.  I just want to see people get this obsessed is this country when a President get's inaugurated or even has a press conference.
