Usually Time magazine tries to mix things up with their person of the year honor and they have done it again.  Not naming one person, but a group that did a lot the change things and make noise this year; The Protester.

Protesters have left quite a mark on the world this year.  Most of you are probably thinking of the people 'occupying' various parts of our country, but around the world the impact was much greater.

It all started with the protests in Egypt to remove their cruel dictator and that was a success.  It triggered the movement in Lybia and the eventual removal of Moammar Gadhafi from power.   Then we have the power of the occupy movement that is bringing their views to the forefront.

2011 was for sure the year of the protester, so the person of the year honor isn't to surprising.
