A Winter Fair is coming ...

Who says that fairs only have to go down in the summer months? Well, up until now, pretty much everyone in Upstate New York. If I had to guess I'd  say it probably has do with the fact that we live in the north east and it's cold and snowy here in the winter months.

All that is about to change. Over the last couple of years they have been doing some extensive work making over the New York State Fairgrounds in Syracuse and this winter they are going to put some of those new renovations to good use. Get ready for the Winter Fair at the New York State Fairgrounds Friday, Feb. 8 to Sunday, Feb. 10 inside the state fairground's Expo Center.

According to Syracuse.com you can expect to get your fix of all your favorite fair foods, vendors, midway rides, live music from more than a dozen local bands, dance performers and other entertainers, as well as elements from the fair's Pan-African Village.  Plus ice sculptures and snowmen because, winter.

If you are willing to make the trek to 'Cuse in for the Winter Fair advance tickets are $4 for adults, $2 for teens and seniors and free for children under 12. You can grab tickets online at nyswinterfair.com, beginning Monday, Nov. 19. Of course you can always grab them at the door for $6 for adults and $4 for teens and seniors.

The fair will run Friday, February 8th from 3 to 11 p.m., Saturday, February 9th from 10 a.m. to 11 p.m. and  noon to 8 p.m. on  Sunday February 10th.
