The Nina and Pinta Have Arrived in the Capital Region and are Open to Visitors

Okay, so they are not the original ships but these replicas are definitely a sight to see on the Hudson in Albany and you can actually go tour them!

As I was driving on 787 the other day something crazy caught my eye. I legit though that one eyed Willie's pirate ship had finally made it's way to the Capital Region and had some how come to a stop on the Hudson in Albany. So naturally I had to investigate ...

Turns out it was not one eyed Willies pirate ship but what I hear re supposed to be the most historically correct replicas of Christopher Columbus' ships the Nina and the Pinta. They are sitting docked right now at the Albany Yacht Club and will be through the weekend you can actually board them and see them in all their glory!

According to New10 the ships were built to be "used as a floating museum to teach visitors about the types of ships used by explorers." The are in town through the weekend and are open to visitors from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Admission is $8.00 for adults, $ 7.00 for seniors, and $6.00 for students 5 – 16.   Children 4 and under are Free!
