The Devil Wears Prada is perhaps Dayton, Ohio's sickest Christian metal band, and they're coming out with a brand new album on September 13, 2011. The only problem is that it has yet to be given a name, but I can tell you this: the band released their first song from the untitled album, and it sounds as though the newest edition to their family is going to be nothing short of fantastic.

The album, which will again be released through Ferret Music, is the first full-length for the sextet since 2009's awesome With Roots Above and Branches Below, which is the album that made me fall in love with them. The energy and sound is nothing short of mind-blowing, as it is full of hardcore breakdowns, sudden stops and melodic harmonies. It will take a lot for the new album to out-do WRAABB, but I'll certainly have an open mind when I listen to it!

Fans can get an idea of what the new album will be like, as last August their EP Zombie was released via Ferret. This short taste of what the new untitled will be is definitely a good sign, as it is almost as sick as WWAABB. Frontman Mike Hranica made a statement regarding the new album:

The new record contains the heavy aspects of the 'Zombie' EP meshed with the melody of the full lengths, he says. 'Born to Lose' captures some of those elements and serves as a comprehensive preview to the album. By all means, I'd call it our most emotional, well-written album to date.

If you want to get a tiny taste, you can listen to "Born to Lose" here. It was produced by Killswitch Engage guitarist Adam Dutkiewicz, and sounds like TDWP that all fans know and love, but with a new twist on their sound and overall feeling. Give it a listen and comment with your thoughts.

Will you be purchasing the new album when it premieres? What should the band title their album?
