The Cast of 21 Jump Street Today [VIDEO]

As ol' Monte prepares to watch what may be the funiest movie of the year, 21 Jump Street, starring Jonah Hill and Channing Tatum, I was curious as to what the cast of the original TV show has been up to these days.  With my vast working knowledge of this internet thing, I tracked down a story with their whereabouts!

The original 21 Jump Street aired from 1987-91 and focused around young police officers- young enough to pose as high school students and covertly solve crimes around the schools. 

Most notable, a young Johnny Depp portrayed officer Tom Hanson.  Depp as you know has starred in some of the biggest blockbusters of all-time with the likes of Pirates of the Carribbean, Edward Scissorhands, Chocolat, etc.  World-wide, Depp's films have brought in over seven billion dollars. Rumor has it, Deep makes a cemeo in the 21 Jump Stret film!

Holly Robinson Peete whom played  Sergeant Judy Hoffs, went on to star in Hangin' With Mr. Cooper and married former Detroit Lions QB Rodney Peete.    Most recently, Peete has been on Mike & Molly  and will have a cameo in 21 Jump street much like Depp.

Petere DeLuise, Officer Doug Penhall from 21 Jump Street fame, has made a few small cameos and smaller movies but did put in a fair amout of work on Stargate SG-1 where he acted, wrote and produced a few episodes. DeLuise's on-screen and real life brother , Michael DeLuise (Officer Joey Penhall) came on the show in it's latter years, but Michael is most memorable to me as one of the headbangers in Wayne's Word :)   Part Time - Excellent!

Steven Williams ,  Captain Adam Fuller, was The Mr. X From The X-Files!  Williams also tried to hunt down Jason Voorhees in one of the Friday the 13th films. Two of Monte's favs!

The article has a few before and after pics, and is getting me excited to venture over to Crossgates or Colonie this afternoon for the big screen adapation of 21 Jump Street.  Though the film appears to be more of a comedy, this guy can't wait.  Have you seen it yet?  What are your thoughts?
