I'm heading up to the ADK this weekend and I'm trying to make sure I have all of the necessities while packing as light as possible. What is the one thing you always forget that you wish you had?

Packing light for me is not an easy task. I stay somewhere for a night and I have enough stuff for a week. So when I'm heading up to the mountains to relax and unplug I tend to go way overboard seeing as though when you are in the woods you are completely without the convenience of home and any amenities really

This weekend I am literally going for 2 nights and 1 day so it is not a long trip by any means but no matter how much dumb crap I pack, that I probably won't use, inevitably I will forget the one thing I actually really need.

I'm super lucky in this instance because my friends have arranged the whole trip and will be taking care of the basics like the campsite reservations, food, and utensils. My basic necessity list is as follows:

  • Tent
  • Air mattress
  • Sleeping Bag/Pillow
  • Warm clothes
  • Swimwear
  • Floaties
  • Cooler
  • Beer
  • Bug Spray
  • Sunscreen
  • Tunes
  • Water shoes
  • Towels
  • Air Pump
  • Camping Chair
  • Toiletries
  • Water

Which I feel like is all I really need. Right? What is the one thing that you always forget when you go camping that you always wish you had as soon as you set up camp? Let us know in the comments!
