Terrorist In South Glens Falls High School?

I swear kids will rebel against anything to try and be cool these days. On the other hand is this kid really a terrorist? According to a story I saw on Timesunion.com a high school student made threats via Facebook and is now in jail for charges of Terrorism.

According to state law: a terroristic threat involves "intent to intimidate or coerce a civilian population, influence the policy of a unit of government by intimidation or coercion, or affect the conduct of a unit of government". –Times Union

When I first read this I assumed this kid was throwing gang signs up for G’s up Jihad down and strapping C4 to the bottom of his parent’s minivan in plans to drive it into the capital building in the name of Allah. Does that make me a racist or has the term “terrorism” changed so much in the social eye that almost everyone thinks this way when they hear it.

Given I have no idea what the exact threat this 16 year old kid made nor do I know what they look like, but should this Glens Falls Teen be called a Terrorist?
