Move over studies about donuts and infertility. Real scientists have been doing actual work. For the first time, a huge breakthrough in the fight against HIV and AIDS has surfaced. According to CBS Philadelphia, researchers from Temple University have successfully removed the HIV virus from human cells.

“It’s an important finding because for the first time in laboratory setting we show that the virus can be eradicated from human culture, cell culture” -Dr. Kamel Khalili, CBS

What this means is we are potentially one step closer to finding a cure. This kind of refreshing news gives me a huge new boost of faith in humanity. I thought the only scientific breakthrough I’d see in my lifetime is the advancement of sex robots.

It’s nice to see that real issues in the world still get solved. Now if we can only fix the issue with the sudden increase in popularity in ugly mom-style jeans?
