It was a very exciting championship weekend in the NFL.  Nail biters in both the NFC and AFC but the Green Bay Packers and Pittsburgh Steelers are packing their bags for Dallas.

This weekends games in the NFL were edge of your seat worthy for sure.  The Packers move on after a big win on the road against Chicago and The Steelers are moving on as well, outlasting a Jets team whose comeback came a bit to late.  I for one enjoyed both of these games.  I did think the Jets were going to prevail in Pittsburgh but the Steelers shut down Sanchez and the boys through the first half while putting up 21 unanswered points. Jets looked to be battling back but Pittsburgh is a tough place to play and they come up short 24-19.  Super Bowl XLV will be an awesome one.

I loved the action in the NFC championship game.  The Packers came out firing on all cylinders.  Aaron Rodgers got things going early with a rushing TD.  James Starks who has proved to be amazing for Green Bay in the RB position rushed for a TD and 74 yards. The Packers Defense also held strong and the big man BJ Raji with the big interception and score to put the game out of reach.  Bear fans must have been stunned.  They went through 3 QBs today.  Jay Cutler went down early, then the Packers took out Todd Collins and it fell to Caleb Hanie who did bring the Bears back within reach but the Packers do prevail for the 21-14 win.

We have a couple weeks without football, and no the Pro Bowl doesn't count.  Will the time off make a difference?  I suppose only time will tell.  I personally think the Green Bay Packers are going to walk out the Super Bowl champs.
