A New Bedford, Mass High School teacher could be fired from her job over a student throwing a chair at her according to school officials.

Teacher Joanne Maura will be apart of a school hearing on the attack that happened last month. School administrators say they didn't find out about the student throwing a chair at Maura until last week when a video of it appeared on YouTube.

Maura said she notified the school resource officer and a housemaster after the incident. She has since received a letter from the school administrators saying she could face disciplinary action, including but not limited to termination of her job.

The student in question has since been suspended and faces criminal charges.
