March 18, 2013 I have a bone to pick with Punxsutawney Phil. 'An early Spring is coming' (which translates to six more weeks of Winter) was the prediction from our furry friend in Punxsutawney, PA.. By the way, that was six weeks ago, and no, no sign of Spring is near. In fact, expect another dose of Old Man Winter around these parts starting tonight.

February 11, 2013 Has a nice ring to it, doesn't it? Reminds me of my favorite commercial from Hoveround. You know, the one with the little old ladies riding up to the edge of the Grand Canyon, peering out over the Canyon all happy and what not. In the back of their minds their like 'ugh, I can't believe this is how I make extra cash'. But whatev- That commercial is great and so is a 70mph 4-wheel scooter, in the snow!

February 7, 2013 Have you heard we're getting a storm? We haven't had much winter in the past two years so any storm delivering any amount of snowfall gets people all excited. We're expecting a pretty big storm though and many schools decided to close ahead of the storm. Our list of closings is continually updated as is our real time weather.
February 7, 2013 Seriously though, you ready for some serious snow? I was just chatting with a buddy yesterday about the white stuff. Our general consensus? Why haven't we seen a snow storm that drops 2 inches an hour, like back in the old days? You know what I'm saying right? Like, the kind of snow plows can't keep up on? That's what I long for when it comes to winter and snow. Let's roll out the prediction.

Using the word stupid isn't always polite and should be reserved for special occasions and The Weather Channel trying to name winter storms is a perfect example of when to use the word stupid.
There are times when the eyes of an alcoholic reveal a darkness so vast that everything decrepit in the universe appears to makes sense, like a bloodshot lookingglass reflecting a message from God - or maybe not. Either way, occasionally a rare breed of sloppy degenerate rises up from the drunken pits of hell to prove to the rest of us that there is a long way to go before we ever hit rock bottom. You'll know them by their frostbitten penises.
January 23, 2013 With temps barely reaching 20 degrees over the last few days, which will likely carry into the weekend, we can all agree that it's- burr chilly cold chilly burr cold burr- out there, no? For me, I appreciate the fact that I have a few blankets and a warm place to rest my head. For others, staying warm means committing a crime.

Last year we had a winter without snow. Now that we have more snow then we can handle I got to know where the best place to go skiing or snowboarding near the Albany Area is.
