Want to know how to guarantee that your child will be picked on for most of their life?  Name him or her after a semi popular video game character.  That's what these 'Skyrim' fans did to their new born baby.

‘Assassin’s Creed Revelations’ is a game for history buffs, lovers of 16th century Constantinople, conspiracy theorists and anyone who would like to shank Adrian Peterson and Derrick Rose in the streets of 16th century Constantinople.

The L.A. Times  has reported on a study done by Ghent University in Belgium, on the effects of video games on teens. They took a group of kids, divided them up by how much time they spent gaming and looked at how much their brain size grew by and where it grew in the brain.

Turns out no one is safe from PETA, not even fake video game characters.  The animal rights group has decided to pick a battle with Nintendo because of his use of the fur raccoon suit in the game.  Really?

Even if ‘Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3’ was a terrible disappointment that also punched you in the groin every time you loaded the game, you’d have to buy it.

The latest Call of Duty game comes out tomorrow, well midnight most places.  Nerds everywhere are super pumped for it and no doubt it will leave many people on their couches with hands stuck in the video game controller position.

I like playing games, but I am fussy and finicky about the money I spend on games. I have to have already played it in some form or another, or it needs to appeal to me visually, or have a lot of word of mouth. And if there are videos of it on YouTube showing it off, then I can really check it out and get into it, if I like it. Minecraft is one of those games that hooked me.

After the big hit to the Netflix stock, the popular DVD rental company had to rethink it's strategy a bit.  They have decided to rename their home delivery service and add the option of renting video games.

If you like playing games on the computer, you may find some of this news kind of interesting. I sure did since I am more of a computer gamer then a platform one, even though I own a Wii. Google's strategy is to move computing to the cloud so they are also moving gaming their, with Google Chrome as a gaming platform.

Video game retailer GameStop is finding themselves in a bit of trouble today as it has been uncovered that they have been removing coupons from the PC game Deus Ex: Human Revolution, coupons that would allow the buyer to get a second copy of the game for free.

30 years ago this month, the struggling American division of Nintendo, released the game Donkey Kong on the unsuspecting American shores making the company do a 180 and firmly making a place for the game and the company in the history books. Not to mention making me a few hundred dollars poorer as a kid. If I didn't pump so many quarters into these games, I would be independently wealthy by now. R

A new academic paper suggests that the proliferation of violent videos games over the past 20 years has contributed to the more than 50 percent decrease in violent crime over that time period.
