Aussie group Sick Puppies have been laying dormant "down under" for some time now in order to focus on writing and recording a brand new album and they have done just that. 'Connect' arrives July 16 via Virgin Records and will be the band's fourth studio album and first in four years since 2009's 'Tri-Polar.' As always, with new music comes a new tour, so read on for all the dates of their summer North American trek.
A few days ago, Australian rock group Sick Puppiesrevealed that "There's No Going Back," the second track off of their upcoming fourth studio album, would be its first single. At some point in time, almost all great rock acts put their own talent and genius aside in order to pay respect to those that came before them and paved the way to success. He plans to release a cover album next year and based on his longtime musical career something tells me that it will be well worth the wait.
Next month old school metal quartet Anthrax will be debuting their cover EP 'Anthems,' which features eight covers of the band's favorite 70s tunes. The first track of the same name is originally a Rush song, but Anthrax turned it into their own hit, of which you can listen to below. Speaking of Anthrax, vocalist Joey Belladonna was at last week's Sevendust show! Did you see him? I did!
