NY Giants 2013 Training Camp Not Coming To Albany
In a decision that will surely receive some criticism from residents and small business owners across the Capital Region, a bombshell was dropped in the midst of all the NFL headlines surrounding the "coaching carousel" and this coming weekend's Wild Card playoff action. The New York Giants announced today that the team will not return to the UAlbany campus for training camp this summer, but rather will stay home at their year-round headquarters, the Timex Performance Center.

The University of Albany Women's Basketball team (22-9) are one win away from dancing at the NCAA Tournament. After Boston University was upset , the Lady Danes are the highest remaining seed left in the America East Tournament. The championship game is Saturday night 8pm at SEFCU Arena on the UAlbany campus vs UMBC. The winner gets the automatic bid.

NY Giants Training Camp Moved from Albany to East Rutherford.
With no NFL labor deal in place, the New York have announced that they will not be in Albany this summer for Training Camp. It's the first time since 1995 the team will not be at SUNY Albany. The team will be holding training camp at their facilities in East Rutherford New Jersey.

Former UAlbany President Dies
April 25, 2011 Former SUNY University at Albany president Vincent O'Leary died Friday, April 22, 2011 at the age of 86. He served as the college's president from 1977 to 1990, and in that time he made wonderful things happen for the school and implemented things that are still honored today. As an alumnus for the school, I thought it proper to highlight a man who made UAlbany what is was when I was a student , and what it will be for future students.
