Now that it is 'officially' summer in the Capital Region, that means the Northway will be a little more packed with vacationing travelers headed up to Saratoga and Lake George each weekend. But that also means a lot of traffic restrictions and detours as well with several major road projects being completed.

Gov Cuomo has just announced that the Tappan Zee Bridge near New York City will close at 4PM today (10/29) due to the high winds associated with Sandy. If you're wondering about any possible bridge closings in the Albany area, New York State has a twitter account setup that will display information about bridges across the state. Today while driving the Northway to work, I passed a couple cars and noticed some weird actions happening. One man was shaving, another was eating and a woman was actually reading a newspaper. No wonder there are so many accidents on I-87! Now I want to know; "Whats the weirdest thing you do while driving by yourself in a car". Take the poll or comment freely.
