Front man Ed Roland began the Collective Soul concert at the Egg Sunday night by introducing the entire band to the sold out audience. He said, "We're going to play in it's entirety an album we did back in 1999 called 'Dosage' do an intermission then play all those songs you've heard a hundred times or more. They did not disappoint. The Chris Cornell acoustic 'Songbook' show at the Egg this Thursday is sold out. Cornell plans to cover acoustically most of the hits from his bands; Soundgarden, Audioslave and Temple Of The Dog. So the question is, " How can you get tickets to this sold out small intimate show"?
Chris Cornell is currently out on an acoustic tour (Albany On November 17) and he has been making the round of various shows performing his new song "The Keeper". It's a very mellow acoustic tune that will be on the sound track of the movie Machine Gun Preacher, which is currently in theaters and stars Gerrard Butler. This is the brand new music video for the song.
Godsmack front man Sully Erna brought his solo tour in support of his project 'Avalon' to the Egg Sunday Night. Avalon showcased the other side of Sully - a softer, gentler, and spiritual side of the singer. His show at the Egg certainly didn't disappoint the 800 plus in attendance.
If you missed it, Dave Attell was at the Egg last night and did not disappoint. The whole line up was great from start to finish. Dave Smith was the MC and shared a few jokes/funny stories with us. He was perfect. Likable, but wasn't trying to over do it. Then it was the official opener Big Jay Oakerson. Now this guy is funny!
