After taking a year off due to the NFL lockout, the New York Giants are returning to the University at Albany for their summer training camp.
April 29, 2011 Earlier today, officials from Schenectady County Community College announced that they will be adding to their campus, as they are planning to create a brand new music building. Construction will begin this summer, will take about 18 months to complete and will cost about $4 million.
April 25, 2011 Former SUNY University at Albany president Vincent O'Leary died Friday, April 22, 2011 at the age of 86. He served as the college's president from 1977 to 1990, and in that time he made wonderful things happen for the school and implemented things that are still honored today. As an alumnus for the school, I thought it proper to highlight a man who made UAlbany what is was when I was a student , and what it will be for future students.
Why did he do this? In protest of the fountain day cancellation. Oh and one more thing, he's 41 years old.
Many students are not happy that they have to pay for the mistakes of others and are planning on celebrating Fountain Day anyway.
Due to the St. Patrick's Day Kegs N' Eggs incident with several UAlbany students the University President has decided to suspend the annual Spring time celebration.
