Slash, Myles Kennedy and the Conspirators are back in the studio to create the follow-up to their 2012 album 'Apocalyptic Love.' The top-hatted shredder has offered some recent updates from the studio via his Twitter page for what he's calling a "heavy record," including a couple of Vine videos of the guys in action.

Kings of Chaos -- a new supergroup comprised of Slash, Duff McKagan, Matt Sorum, Glenn Hughes, Corey Taylor and Steve Stevens -- played its first-ever concert on U.S. soil on Nov. 18 at the Avalon Hollywood in Los Angeles.

Kings of Chaos are an all-star touring project that features Corey Taylor (Slipknot/Stone Sour), Glenn Hughes (Black Country Communion) and Steve Stevens along with Velvet Revolver/ex-Guns N' Roses members Slash, Matt Sorum and Duff McKagan. Their only North American show of 2013 will be Nov. 18 in Los Angeles at Avalon Hollywood for a benefit gig called 'Tokyo Celebrates the Dolphin.'

While Slash and Axl Rose have had a very tumultuous relationship (if you can even call not talking to each other a 'relationship') in the years since Slash parted ways with Guns N’ Roses, the guitarist won't rule out the idea of a reunion at some point.

Back in his younger days, Slash lived the rock 'n' roll lifestyle to the fullest. These days, he's a dad, and encouraging the next generation in their musical pursuits. And this past week, he jammed with students at the Brennan Rock and Roll Academy in Sioux Falls, S.D.

Slash and Myles Kennedy will be performing on 'Conan' tonight (Sept. 26). The duo will grace Conan O'Brien's TBS program to play the new track 'Nothing Left to Fear' from the upcoming horror film 'Nothing Left to Fear,' which was co-produced by the top-hatted shredder himself.

Last month, Black Eyed Peas singer Fergie and her actor husband Josh Duhamel announced that they had named their son Axl. It's not a very common name, and Fergie has said she's a big Guns N’ Roses fan, meaning the kid was likely named after Axl Rose. This week, TMZ caught up with Slash and asked him his thoughts on the name (watch video above).

The final concert of Slash's U.S. tour with Myles Kennedy and the Conspirators will be streamed online. The show -- which is in support of his most recent album, 'Apocalyptic Love' -- will take place at the House of Blues in Las Vegas on Thursday (July 25) at 9:00PM Pacific.

Throughout his career, Slash has been known for his trademark top hat. But he will soon don several new hats as he embarks on his latest project, co-producing and co-writing the score 'Nothing Left to Fear,' a horror movie that will be released on Oct. 4.
