The late 80's TV show 21 Jump Street is getting the good old Hollywood reboot with a movie starring Jonah Hill and Channing Tatum. It's the show that kicked off Johnny Depps career, and the film is due out in March 2012. The concept of the show is there, but it's a big departure from what it actually was. It sure does look entertaining though.

Universal Developing New 'Scarface' Movie

A reboot of the oft-quoted 1983 cult classic ‘Scarface’ is being developed by Universal.

There is no timeline for the release of the film, at this point, since potential script writers are being considered. Universal doesn’t intend the film be a sequel or a remake, but rather a re-imagination that draws from the themes prevalent in both Al Pacino’s notorious version of Scarface and the original 1932 Howard Hawkes-directed ‘Scarface.’

I will admit that when Russell Brand first came onto the scene I found him incredibly annoying but he won me over with his performance in Get Him To The Greek. When I heard he was going to be reprising Dudley Moore's role as Arthur for a remake of the film I was a little skeptical, but after watching the trailer it looks like this is going to be a great film with a fresh take.
