The boys from Pop Evil Stopped by, and played the first ever Q103 Garage sessions exclusively for a few listeners.
Yesterday the Q103 garage was invaded with Michigan-based rock band Pop Evil and 20 of their fans who were lucky enough to win the chance to watch their acoustic performance. They played a handful of songs, answered questions and gave fans insight on their songs. It was an intimate affair and the first of many garage sessions to come. Check out all the photos after the jump.
Here at the Q103 studio's, there is a gigantic garage that is big enough to park about 8 station vehicles in. We decided why not turn the garage into a place where bands can perform live for listeners. Pop Evil is part of the Trespass America Festival on Wednesday August 8th in Glens Falls and we're excited to announce that they will be the first band to play in the Q103 Garage Sessions. Ok so I'm totally in love with Pop Evil's newest single "Boss's Daughter," which comes from their 2011 sophomore album War of Angels. This is the third single from the record and the official music video was released a few days ago. I saved it for posting until today because it is Memorial Day and all and the band show their American pride in the background of the video. Check it out below.
Aerosmith and The Global Warming Tour is coming to Albany June 29th, and it has everyone excited. Our friend Pop Evil frontman Leigh Kataty, who will be part of the Trespass America Tour with Five Finger Death Punch, says Aerosmith was one reason why he even got into Rock n Roll. He gave us his top 5 Aerosmith songs.
Big time bands spend most of their days traveling around the world and visiting the biggest cities. It can all become overwhelming and distorted as they tour the same spots time and time again, but certain traits of places tend to stick in musicians minds. Pop Evil bassist Matt DiRito seems to remember women, as he gives his picks of the top five U.S. cities that house the "sexiest women."
Since the release of their fourth album, ‘The Truth Is…’ on July 12 of last year, Theory of a Deadman have been total road warriors, ripping up stages across the country, and now they’ll continue that run with a newly announced spring headlining tour featuring support from Pop Evil and Stellar Revival.
Pop Evil's latest album War Of Angels has some of the best songs the Michigan natives have ever put out. If you bought the record in stores than you are missing out on some exclusive iTunes exclusive tracks, like their latest release "Unstoppable" . They just released the lyric video for the song which has me wondering when we'll get to see the real deal video, so Leigh or Matt if you wanna drop us a line and fill us in, we are all ears! Check out the lyric video after the jump and get ready to rock your face off.
