Turns out no one is safe from PETA, not even fake video game characters.  The animal rights group has decided to pick a battle with Nintendo because of his use of the fur raccoon suit in the game.  Really?

30 years ago this month, the struggling American division of Nintendo, released the game Donkey Kong on the unsuspecting American shores making the company do a 180 and firmly making a place for the game and the company in the history books. Not to mention making me a few hundred dollars poorer as a kid. If I didn't pump so many quarters into these games, I would be independently wealthy by now. R

I'm a Nintendo fan. I love a lot of their games and I have a Wii and a Nintendo DS.  I owned a Gamecube and plan on upgrading to a WiiU when personal economics allow. But every now and then something really inspiring comes along to shake my loyalty to a well proven company or platform. This indie game platform, is starting to do that now.

Do you remember the glory days of video gaming? The Nintendo Entertainment system, Coleco-vision,  The Atari 2600? All classics and bring a smile to many adults faces when they remember the hours spent playing their favorite games. One of those classic games is celebrating 25 years. Nintendo's newest hand-held gaming device- the Nintendo 3DS- is gracing stores with its presence on March 27, 2011. When you go to pick up your DS, you'll have a plethora of 18 games to choose from to start you off. The downfall: all of the games are just a bit more expensive, but for good reason.

It seems like we are being forced into 3D everything these days.  Television is making it an option, and it's making a huge comeback at the movies.  Now, even video games are being made 3D.

I bought a Wii a few years ago and the first games purchased were Super Mario Bros, Super Mario Bros 2, and Super Mario Bros 3. Clearly I miss games from when I was a nerdy kid. They are also the ONLY video games in the world that I’m good at. So what was the world like in 1985?

I have not been this mesmerized by a gift since I was a little kid but the Nintendo Wii is hands down one of the greatest inventions ever.
