Apparently Justin Bieber is giving out hummers. The cars you perverts, not that other thing. Well this news anchor was jealous that Justin Bieber was handing out hummers to others while he was left high and dry. So he reveals to his co-anchor that he would in fact like a hummer from Justin Bieber. The Rolling Stones said it best, you can't always get what you want, but at least he asked.
A prime reason why you should always proof read things before you hit the air. It seems as though this female anchor played a prank on her co-anchor thanks to some help from the people who run the teleprompter. It's a real life Anchorman moment, and this reporter falls for the trap like a mouse. It's always fun to see that the people reading the news aren't so stuffy, and these guys look like they know how to have fun.
Being that I work in the broadcast field, I know how frustrating it can be when something doesn't go as planned when it's suppose to be live. All you want to do is throw your headphone off and swear. After flubbing a couple lines during a news report, Knoxville Channel 8‘s Gordon Boyd (apparently thinking he was no longer on camera) threw a tantrum on live TV. Boyd glared angrily at the camera, bit his lip and threw his notepad to the ground in a fit of frustration while the camera continued to roll.
We have always been told not to believe everything we see on TV. Maybe someone should have told this news anchor that because her co-workers got her with an absolutely fantastic April Fools joke live on the air. I wish all pranks could be this good.
