Green Day announced that the band has starting working on a new album.  The album is the follow up to 21st Century Breakdown.   The band is recording video footage of the process and has released a short 1st video.   Watch it now.

Van Halen’s long-awaited new album ‘A Different Kind of Truth’ hits stores today and to promote the landmark release even further, the band has joined forces with ESPN.com to stream some of the new tracks and launch an unusual contest.

It’s been five years since the Cult have released a new full-length album, but all that will change come May 22 when the band drops ‘Choice of Weapon’ via Cooking Vinyl Records. In the meantime, the new song ‘Lucifer’ is available as a free download below.

The boys in Van Halen are back with a new single, a new tour and of course a new album.  The record entitled 'A Different Kind Of Truth' will be available everywhere on February 7th. You can purchase a collectors deluxe edition on vinyl, but it will cost you $54.98.

A five-minute video including audio samples from a number of songs off the new HELLYEAH album can be seen after the jump. The video was shot in New York City during an interview with Jason Lekberg of Eleven Seven Music. The new album will be the third for the American metal supergroup, and is set to be released in the late spring/early summer of this year.

As Metallica fans can tell you, when you pop in an album from them you expect songs that have a long intro and last about 6 or 7 minutes.  The next record will reportedly contain shorter 'more to to the point' songs.

2012 is only a couple of days old, and Slash has certainly hit the ground running.  The former Guns n Roses guitarist is putting the finishing touches on a new album recorded with Alterbridge frontman Miles Kennedy and getting ready for a show with Scott Weiland and Velvet Revolver.

Good news for Guns N’ Roses fans who are anxious to get their hands on a new album. From the sound of things, the band will have new music out sometime within the new year. One thing they know for sure is the turn around time won’t take quite as long as it did with their last album, ‘Chinese Democracy.’

The Foo Fighters have announced plans to start writing material in 2012. This will be the Foo Fighters eighth studio album.

Alice In Chains are currently writing a new album, a follow-up to 'Black Gives Way To Blue'.   The album is supposed to be released sometime in 2012, but don't ask for a specific date as Jerry Cantrell says it will be released when it's ready and not before.

Chevelle is back with a new CD called 'Hats Off To The Bull'.  The album featuring the single 'Face To The Floor' will be everywhere on Tuesday December 6th.  This weekend, stream and listen to the entire album plus register to win it before you can buy it.
