Frontman Dave Grohl has officially announced that Foo Fighters will indeed be taking an extended hiatus. There's no word on when Foo Fighters will next play a show or record another album, with Grohl himself writing, "I was serious. I'm not sure when the Foo Fighters are going to play again."
