While Week One of Coachella is often the most hyped, the second weekend can offer some surprises as well. For instance, The Replacements rocked out with Green Day's Billie Joe Armstrong joining them for much of their Coachella performance Friday night (April 18).

Vinyl lovers, start saving your money and circle April 19 on your calendar because that's when the next Record Store Day is taking place. As usual, a number of top acts are preparing special releases for the event.

For this year's Record Store Day, Green Day will  release an 18-song collection of demos culled from a trio of recent albums that nobody paid much attention to.

In the United Stated, MTV has the annual VMAs. In Europe, the music channel has the EMAs, and this year's nominations have just been announced. Among the contenders are Black Sabbath, Green Day, Queens of the Stone Age, 30 Seconds to Mars and Linkin Park.

After screenings earlier this year at events including the Aspen X Games, South by Southwest and the Newport Film Festival, Green Day's documentary ‘¡Cuatro!’ will be released Sept. 24 on DVD and via iTunes. Watch the trailer above.
