College Football Top 25 Weekend Recap – Week Two

While many of this weekend’s games were just tune-ups for showdowns to come, there were several great battles to keep things exciting, including Michigan’s last-second win over Notre Dame, South Carolina’s shootout victory over Georgia and Auburn stuffing Mississippi State at the goal line to win their 17th straight game.

New Football Stadium being planned for SUNY Albany

The University at Albany is the planning stages to build a new football stadium that will seat anywhere from 6,000 to 24,000.   A construction firm has been hired to design and build a multi-use stadium that will be completed in 2012.  Included in the plans are suites and club amenities.

Pittsburgh Steelers Star Hines Ward Arrested for DUI

Hines Ward, current 'Dancing With the Stars' champion and Pittsburgh Steelers star wide receiver, was arrested for driving under the influence just outside Atlanta, Georgia early Saturday morning.

The former Super Bowl MVP was booked into the DeKalb County jail and later released on $1,300 bond.

University of New Mexico football player Deshon Marman’s trip to San Francisco was already sad enough before police got involved.

Marman, who was in the city to attend the funeral of a high school friend, was arrested at San Francisco International Airport Wednesday after he refused to pull up his saggy pants while on a plane heading to Albuquerque, New Mexico.
