I don’t know if I ever thought of The Darkness as having any member that would be considered to be near a ‘Super-group’ level. I always kind of thought they were more of joke like Steel Panther or something. But to some, they are loved.

From Sept. 26-30, Jimmy Fallon will pay tribute to the legendary British band on his NBC show. Among those scheduled to drop by are Pearl Jam, Foo Fighters and Dierks Bentley, plus Floyd members Roger Waters and Nick Mason.
The Westboro Baptist Church, which is notorious for picketing the the funerals of U.S. military personnel and blaming the servicemen’s deaths on the United States’ acceptance of homosexuality, got a taste of its own medicine on Friday when the Foo Fighters staged a counter protest of the church’s picketing of the band’s show that night in Kansas City.
The Foo Fighters promotional machine is in high gear now. The band has just released a new tour promo. To say it's a little weird is putting it lightly. Dave Grohl has a demented and hilarious mind that's for sure. I guess we know now that the guys are wanna be truckers! Check out the video.
Foo Fighters are still rocking hard. Tonight, Dave Grohl accepted an MTV VMA on behalf of the Foo Fighters for their new single and video, "Walk" for being the best Rock video of 2011.
It has been an exceptionally bad summer for violent storms and stage-related mishaps at outdoor music festivals.
The latest such incident took place Thursday in Belgium during Pukkelpop, where at least five people died and an estimated 140 were injured after an intense thunderstorm hit the festival site and knocked down staging areas as well as tents and trees.
Scheduled performers during the three-day festival — an annual event since 1985 — included Good Charlotte, 30 Seconds to Mars and Foo Fighters.
Sunday November 13th the Foo Fighters bring their act to the world’s most famous arena. Also performing with the Foos are Social Distortion and The Joy Formidable.
I must commend the band The Foo Fighters. They are definitely a band for the people. They took their tour to the people literally by playing in fans garages. It was a contest. Fans had to write in why the Foo Fighters should play their garage. So after the band has performed at some of the larger venues in the world they then played 8 garages in 8 American cities this past spring. The band just released a 40 minute documentary of the bands tour of fans garages - very cool. Watch it now.

I know we were all left with a bad taste in our mouths when we saw Jen's blog about Alice Cooper joining Ke$ha onstage at her show in Norway but this one is pure rock n roll awesomeness!
