Flaming Lips are taking their connection with candy and desire to appeal to all of your senses even further. Frontman Wayne Coyne recently Instagrammed a photo of a large chocolate brain, complete with all the the crevices and folds. He then revealed that every single one of the band's recordings will be issued inside these life-sized choco-noggins. It's so cerebral and so sweet -- literally. Sounds delish ... we think.

Fans counting down the seconds until the April 2 release of the Flaming Lips' 13th studio album, 'The Terror,' will have to reset their stopwatches -- the band has pushed back the disc's release two weeks, to April 16. But that doesn't mean we'll have to wait nearly a month to hear the songs on 'The Terror,' because frontman Wayne Coyne and co. premiered the album in its entirety over the weekend SXSW -- and lucky for us, one dedicated fan managed to capture audio of the whole set and has post it online for our listening pleasure.

Days after courting middle America with their cutesy Super Bowl ad, the Flaming Lips have gone back to their weird, over-the-top ways. The band has announced a collaboration with a Dallas-based chocolate maker known as Dude, Sweet Chocolate to produce a run of limited edition, anatomically correct chocolate hearts, each of which contains a USB drive loaded with a 15-song mix titled 'Songs of Love.'

This year marks the 10th anniversary of the U.K.'s annual Bestival festival, and organizers have announced the first round of artists on a bill that promises to be one of the most eclectic of the 2013 festival season. The Flaming Lips, Franz Ferdinand, M.I.A., the Knife and Bombay Bicycle Club are among the acts set to appear at Bestival 2013 which takes place from Sept. 5-8 on the Isle of Wight, off the coast of Britain.
