This Fourth of July, Albany's Empire State Plaza was packed to the brim with local residents who came out to celebrate our country's birthday and independence. Two big features of the night were a killer performance by Tommy James and The Shondells and of course the fireworks! Check out photos of both after the jump!

It's the 4th of July, you've spent all day relaxing and pre-gaming to see fireworks later that night to celebrate America's Independence. You get to your viewing location, crack open a beer and wait for dusk. Anticipation grows when it's finally dark enough for the big bay boom to start. However it fails as every single firework in the arsenal goes off at the same time and the fireworks that were supposed to be 30 minutes, ends up being 30 seconds!
