Guitar great Eddie Van Halen is resting after recently undergoing emergency surgery. The Van Halen co-founder had been suffering significant pain as of late that came about as a result of Diverticulitis.
Perhaps the old guys needed more money or David Lee Roth has now finally remembered the lyrics, but Eddie and the boys of Van Halen have extended their 2012 summer tour. They have added 18 dates to the tour beginning July 7th at Mohegan Sun to give a total of 61 dates on the North American Tour.
Eddie and the boys from Van Halen were on fire Saturday night in Kentucky for the first night of their 2012 Anniversary Tour. The set list included some the biggest Van Halen songs, solos, and new material off their latest album 'A Different Kind Of Truth'. Watch some of the show and see the set list.
Van Halen hasn’t recorded a new album with David Lee Roth since the release of 1984. Well, they did have that “Best Of” cd with 2 new songs at the time, but that doesn’t really count.
