According to The Daily Gazette, an Albany man has scammed a Schenectady jewelry store out of a diamond worth $25,000. The man was able to purchase the diamond with a check that turned out to be linked to a closed account. There isn't too much information on the actual diamond or the actual exchange, which only leaves speculation...
