Shinedown’s Brent Smith recently issued a 911 call to music fans on Twitter regarding the sad state of rock music and his hopes for a rock ‘n’ roll revolution in 2012.

This summer Shinedown began work on a follow up to their massive 2008 album, The Sound Of Madness and according to frontman Brent Smith the band is putting in long hours at the studio.

After the band wrapped up its successful acoustic tour, they have been busy working in the studio on a new album and Lead Guitarist Zach Myers is out on a small solo tour too.
