Metallica stated that on this summer's tour they were going to blow you away. Step one is complete as the band announced they are resurrecting the legendary Snake Pit from the 1993 Black Album tour. The theme of this summer's tour is the 20th anniversary of the Black Album, they will play it in it's entirety and what would the tour be without the Snake Pit?
Last week it was the late Elizabeth Taylor getting dissed; this week it's Metallica. Some "genius" has made a remix from the famous Black album from Metallica along with Jay-Z's "Black" LP. Why? I don't know but I do know that rock/metal should never cross paths with hip hop or rap for any reason. It's just as bad as Elizabeth Taylor being portrayed by the mess that is Lindsay
Billboard and Nielsen SoundScan have just released a list of the top-selling albums of the SoundScan era (1991-2011). Coming in at No. 1 with more than 15 million units sold to date is Metallica‘s self-titled 1991 disc, aka The Black Album.
Metallica will be playing the Download Festival this summer in Donington Park in the UK and will be playing the 'Black Album' in it's entirety to celebrate the albums 20th anniversary, but they will need to re-learn a few tracks.
