Arnold Schwarzenegger has been presumed to return to his arguably most famous action movie franchise, 'Terminator,' since around the time he was leaving his California Governor's chair. Back then, he didn't have a script to even consider, but now that one is being developed, it seems that in fact he will be back for another installment.
As Arnold Schwarzenegger's new film - 'The Last Stand' - hits theaters this weekend, let's turn our attention to perhaps his most popular franchise. The actor was in talks to star in 'Terminator 5' after leaving public office but he never had an actual script. That's about to change as two writers have been hired to write a 'Terminator 5' script, kickstarting the upcoming sequel.
In his recent autobiography, Arnold Schwarzenegger describes his part in 'The Last Stand' as "a great, great role." He plays Ray Owens, a former LAPD cop who retired to his hometown in Arizona after his partner got crippled in a botched drug raid. Now the local sheriff, he and a few bumbling deputies are all that stands between the Mexican border and a ruthless drug kingpin. "The sheriff knows if he succeeds," Schwarzenegger writes, "it will mean everything to the town. His reputation is on the line. Is he really over the hill or can he do it?"
After spending a couple years governating, Arnold Schwarzenegger has returned to the big screen with a vengeance. He's got 'The Last Stand' coming next week, then a film where he's pitted against Sylvester Stallone in September, and another picture lined up for next January, on top of talks of playing Conan the Barbarian again and the proposed 'Twins' sequel. We're going to be seeing a lot of Arnie in the near future, and now there's a new red band trailer trailer for 'The Last Stand.'
He's done playing in politics, and is back to what made him a household name. Arnold Schwarzenegger is making his return to action films in 'The Last Stand'. Check out the trailer.
As a bodybuilder and public figure, Arnold Schwarzenegger has been in his fair share of pictures. Some good, some bad, but in this case, just plain weird.
For a few years ideas had been tossed around about a remake for 1990's 'Total Recall', and this summer we will finally get that remake. The film stars Colin Farrell as Douglas Quaid, the role Arnold Schwarzenegger made famous.
Imagine you're walking through a hospital and you see Rambo and the Terminatorside by side in bed. What comes to mind first? "Schwarzenegger and Stallone must be filming a movie." Or, "This place is about to get torn up, ruuuuuunn!" Turns out, the action stars were actually in the hospital for surgeries at the same time and neither knew they would end up being roomies.
Normally, I’m not much of George Lopez fan. But this one makes me laugh. I don’t know why, but a guy dressed up a woman is always kind of funny!
The rumors are true. Arnold Schwarzenegger will be back for Terminator 5! Justin Lin is set to direct. The only issue now is what studio will back it and where does the story line go?
