Earlier this year, Alter Bridge announced that they had begun work on their fourth studio album, and now the band is offering up all the juicy details surrounding their upcoming release. The 13-song disc, titled ‘Fortress,’ will make its debut on Oct. 8.

The group has yet to reveal when their fourth studio album will arrive in stores, but given the discussion of a fall tour, it's likely that a late summer / early fall street date will eventually be revealed.

Alter Bridge may be working on a new album this year, but it looks like fans will have a chance to reflect on the band's past before the new disc drops. The group revealed in a posting at their website that a new box set is in the works for a May release.
