If you dig hazy fields of flowers, waterfalls and a well dressed Brent Smith then the new Shinedown music video of their latest single is for you.

Before treating fans (and us) to an awesome acoustic set during today's Q103 Garage Session, Shinedown took some time to meet and greet with their fans, and we snapped some photos from the festivities.
Last week, Carnival of Madness revealed the arsenal of rock bands that will head up their 2013 trek including Shinedown, Papa Roach, Skillet, In This Moment and We as Human. Now, the first leg of dates and locations have been unveiled. Shinedown kicked off the inaugural run of Carnival of Madness back in 2010 and according to frontman Brent Smith are returning this year to reinvent the brand.
Shinedown headlined the inaugural Carnival of Madness trek back in 2010, but stepped aside as Theory of a Deadman and Evanescence did the honors the past two years. This year, Shinedown return to front the traveling festival they helped launch, and they've got a strong lineup hitting the road with them.
Last year, Q103 debuted the Garage Session where your favorite bands play acoustically in our garage while hanging out with you. Pretty cool idea right? Nothing like getting up close and personal in a private setting with a band you love. So far, we've had 6 bands come in to play including Nonpoint, Trapt, and Young Guns.
There are covers, and there are COVERS! Some bands can pull it off and others, not so much. Some covers make you think: 'Man, I think that's better than the original'. Case in point: Shinedown with Simple Man. Ok ok ok, I know you're probably throwing your mouse at your computer in disgust, and that's fine. Skynard made the track and made it well. Shinedown though, yeah, they killed it.
Shinedown and Three Days Grace may be co-headlining their current tour, but the third act on the bill isn't exactly your average opener. Veteran hard rock outfit P.O.D. has been playing alongside the two bands throughout both legs of their touring, making for a solid trifecta of rock acts. P.O.D.'s sets are making it worthwhile to get there early, and the band has enjoyed a set crossover of late with Shinedown's Zach Myers joining their performances to play their cover of U2's 'Bullet the Blue Sky.'
As far as physical professions go, being a musician is usually one of the most injury free occupations you could choose. Still, there are the occasional accidents that happen on the road and Shinedown bassist Eric Bass is feeling the effects of a performance mishap last night (March 22) in Lubbock, Texas.
Wes Styles sat down with Brent Smith of Shinedown in our makeshift studio at the Glens Falls Civic Center on Saturday, February 23rd before they hit the stage that night.
The conversation covered a wide arrange of items from the current tour with Three Days Grace & POD, how their stage show changes every tour, and even a reflection or two of the last decade of the band.
You wouldn't know it by looking at him today, but there was a period not too long ago that Shinedown singer Brent Smith was struggling with both drug and alcohol addiction, as well as weight issues. Part of the reason Smith is built as well as he is these days is due to his newfound commitment to his health, and he discussed his transformation with the Los Angeles Times.
Before Thanksigiving break, I got Brent Smith of Shinedown on the phone to talk about their plans for 2013 (including their tour with Three Days Grace and POD that is coming to Glens Falls on 2/23) and more!
