System of a Down have just announced that their only U.S. performance in 2013 will take place at Los Angeles' Hollywood Bowl on July 29, so if you're a hardcore fan, you may want to set the date, no matter where you happen to live in the States.

System began teasing a mystery announcement last week on the band's Facebook page, using photos of Southern California landmarks such as Venice Beach, Santa Monica, LAX airport, Sunset Junction and the Capitol Records building along with the message, "Find out where all the roads lead." One week after all of the photo teases, System of a Down finally revealed a Los Angeles performance earlier today (March 18):

System of a Down is pleased to announce their first-ever performance at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles, CA on Monday, July 29. Tickets will be available this Friday, March 22 at 10AM PST. This is SOAD's only US performance of 2013.

This must-see show is sure to sell out incredibly quickly, so keep that 10 AM PST time in mind, because just a few minutes of lag time can leave the biggest fanatic with empty hands.

System of a Down will also be performing a handful of European festival dates this summer. Check out the band's current 2013 itinerary, as well as a new 30-minute video interview with singer Serj Tankian below:
