Toon Link made his hi-def debut on the Wii U in The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker HD, but it's also been announced that he'll be returning to the fracas in Super Smash Bros.

The pint-sized hero's return to the Super Smash Bros. roster means that there are only two more open spots left! The new screenshots featuring the tunic-wearing tike show him using some very familiar moves and brandishing the Wind Waker baton, as well as the legendary Master Sword.

If you peek at the backgrounds in the screenshots, you'll be able to spot some of the new stages, such as the village of Skyloft from The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword and the seas and islands of Wind Waker HD.

We've still got a while until the 2014 release of Super Smash Bros. for Wii U and 3DS, so we'll just have to wait patiently for the last two characters to be revealed.
