Happy Birthday today (Sept. 11) to ex Breaking Benjamin bassist Mark Klepaski. He's 41. Other rockers celebrating include Tommy Shaw  of Styx (63) an Grateful Dead drummer Mickey Hart (73).

Benjamin was formed out of Wilkes-Barre, PA in 1999 by singer/guitarist Benjamin Burnley and drummer Mark Klepaski. Their first lineup also featured guitarist Aaron Fink and bassist Mark Klepaski and the lineup released two albums: Saturate in 2002 and You Are Not Alone in 2004. Other releases included 2006's Phobia and 2009’s Dear Agony. The band's  hits include “So Cold”, “I Will Not Bow”, and “The Diary of Jane”. Mark Klepaski left the band in 20012 along with Aaron Fink after a fallout with singer Benjamin Burnley.

Breaking Benjamin have continued on with a revamped lineup and had a successful summer tour with Disturbed in 2016. The band will be touring with Korn kicking off a Fall tour Sept. 24 in Fargo, North Dakota.
