Summer At The Plaza Free Concert Series Announced

Just one day after the (un)official start to summer comes the announcement of the line up for this year's Summer At The Plaza Free Concert Series and it features musical acts of the past along with many great family activities. 

Empire Plaza will play host to acts like Poison frontman Bret Michaels, 90's icons Blues Travelers, 70's rockers Kansas, and even 60's pop sensation The Zombies. You can see the dates and times below which includes more than just musical concerts.

Wednesday, June 26th - The Zombies ("She's Not There," "Tell Her No," and "Time of the Season"). Scheduled time for show is 5 pm to 9 pm

Thursday, July 4th - Price Chopper Fireworks display. The all day event features starts at 3 pm. Fireworks will kickoff shortly after sundown and Johnny Rivers will close out the night on the Empire Plaza Stage.

Sunday, July 6th - "Sing Along Adventure with Thomas & Friends" from Noon to 7 pm.

Wednesday, July 10th - Kansas. Scheduled time for show is 5 pm to 9 pm.

Wednesday, July 24th - Brett Michaels of Poison. Scheduled time for show is 5 pm to 9 pm.

Saturday, August 3rd - McDonald's African American Family Day featuring disco/funk band 'Heatwave'. This event will take place from Noon to 7 pm.

Wednesday, August 14th - New York State Food Festival with musical performance from Blues Travelers ("Hook" & "Runaround"). The festival will take place from 11 am to 9 pm. The event will feature sampling of foods from around the region and more.

Wednesday, August 21st - Open Air Cinema w/ "Willy Wonka & The Chocolate Factore" (original 1971 film). The Rated G Movie will start at 8 pm.

Wednesday, August 28th - Open Air Cinema w/  "Madagascar 3: Europe' Most Wanted" (2012). The Rated PG Movie will start at 8 pm.

Saturday, September 7th - Mayer Hawthorne (retro soul). Event is scheduled for 2 pm to 9 pm.

Saturday, September 14th - Hannaford's Hispanic Celebration. This event will celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month with music and more. Scheduled to run from 3 pm to 8 pm.
