The Stone Temple Pilots have regrettably had to postpone the final four gigs of their summer tour due to lead singer Scott Weiland having possible vocal chord damage.

Scott Weiland has been put on vocal rest for a little while after seeing a doctor yesterday.  STP had to cancel their show last night in Ohio, and this morning they posted to their facebook that they need to postpone the rest of the shows on their 2011 summer tour.

The band is already working on getting the other gigs rescheduled for later in the fall while Weiland gets the medical attention he needs.  Dr. Sid Khosla, Director of the UC Health Voice Center in Cincinnati said that Weiland has some scarring on his right vocal chord and if he continued singing her could potentially suffer from a vocal hemorrhage.
