Stewart's Shops are more than just convenience stores, they are a way of life for many in the Capital Region. One in the Collar City is closing its doors February 17th.

Troy has numerous locations. In fact is has far more than most cities and towns in the Capital Region. Each of these stores enjoys a lot of customers at all times of the day. I myself frequent the Northern Drive location in North Troy every morning for a Monster and Egg Wrap.

Sadly for one of the locations, the iconic ice cream sold will no longer be available. Nor will the coffee or milk. The Sixth Avenue and Glen Street location in the mid-section of Troy will no longer be open come closing time Sunday, February 17th.

According to the Times Union, it is due to not having the space to expand its food service as many of Stewart's Shops are throughout the Capital Region.
