Even though the late Apple CEO Steve Jobs never wrote a single piece of music, Jobs will receive a Grammy for his contributions to the recording industry.

The Recording Academy unveiled its recipients for the 2012 Special Merit Awards, recognizing Jobs as a "creative visionary" who revolutionized all aspects of technology in regard to how music is created and consumed.

A special ceremony will be held on Feb. 11, and a formal acknowledgment will be made during the 54th Annual Grammy Awards telecast the following day.
