Formed in 1995 in Springfield, Massachusetts Staind have made a mark on the rock world. Consisting of vocalist/guitarist Aaron Lewis, guitarist Mike Mushok, Bassist Johnny April, and drummer Sal Giancarelli. Their sound is a mix of alternative metal, alternative rock, and post grunge.

Starting out in local clubs, they covered such artists as KoЯn, Pearl Jam, Rage Against the Machine, Alice in Chains, and Tool. In 1996 they released Tormented, their first album which only had 4000 copies made. After getting a spot on a concert with Limp Bizkit, Staind went on to produce their second album Dysfunction which was co-produced by front man of Limp Bizkit, Fred Durst. From there they continued to tour and have worked with such artists as P.O.D, Taproot, Sevendust, Seether, and 3 Doors Down.

Staind has released seven studio albums in addition to two DVDs, and have sold over 15 million records to date.
